Throughout the year, each child will have the opportunity to be our "Shining Star" for a week.  It is a very special time for your child to be in the spotlight.  Students have already received a list of names and dates as part of your snack lists.  These names will also appear hear in the monthly newsletter.  On the Thursday or Friday before your child's assigned week, he/she will bring home the "Me Sack".  The "Me Sack" is a small corduroy bg to carry his/her special items to school. 

The items to be included are:

• 5-6 photos of your child, family, home, pet, special trip, etc.  These photos will be shown, talked about and displayed on a special board.
• A favorite toy
• A favorite book, not too long please.  A parent, grandparent, or friend can come in at the end of the day to read the book to the class.
• The MWF and Pre-K classes will create, at home, their own story and illustration to share with the class.  A paper will be included in the bag for this purpose.
